About Us

What we do

Our Story

We have a new beginning and are part of SSEL Group. SSEL had a beginning in 1994 with services to utilities, then progressed into EPC contractor, and then manufacturing of transformers. SSE ventured into transformer manufacturing in 2004 to reduce its dependency on transformer manufacturers for deliveries and quality. Today SSE is an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certified plant for the design, manufacturing, and supply of power and distribution transformers with the installed capacity to manufacture approximately 100,000+ transformers of various ratings annually in distribution and medium power ranges.

SSE has the capability to manufacture both conventional CRGO core-type transformers and eco-friendly amorphous metal core-type transformers. The SSE Transformer manufacturing unit has the credibility of manufacturing more than four lakh transformers, which are currently installed on the various utility grids across India.

In the last decade, SSE has mastered the art of mass production, which is now the core strength of the company. Complete backward integration for key input materials, along with continuous efforts in automation of various process lines, has improved the efficiency of delivering identical transformers in multiples of hundreds with consistent quality.

Adding to the credibility, SSE is the first organization in the world that has successfully conducted short circuit tests at KEMA Laboratory, Prague, on the most critical combination type of transformers, i.e., amorphous transformers with aluminum windings on 250 kVA, 400 kVA, and 630 kVA.
